Inauguration: We Will Hold Vigil Every Day In Abuja Until Tinubu Is Sworn In – APC Group

An APC support group has vowed to hold a three-day vigil on the streets of Abuja till the president-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is sworn in on Monday.

The group called the Natives added that it would not tolerate a parallel government or any act that could lead to chaos ahead of Tinubu’s inauguration on Monday.

The leader of the group, Smart Edwards, stated this while addressing journalists on Friday in Abuja during a Unity Walk to the Court of Appeal.

He pointed out that the sacrifice became necessary to frustrate plans by those he described as unscrupulous elements who are bent on forming a parallel government

He said those aggrieved as a result of the general election should allow the court to make pronouncements instead of causing anarchy in the country.

Edwards said: “I want to inform us that we are going to start a vigil. We are going to hold it on the streets of Abuja until Asiwaju is sworn-in. We are going to stay on until that barton is given to him and until he is announced the sitting President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. This is democracy and this is a country we must protect.

“We will do this because of our conviction that Tinubu’s presidency will bring prosperity, development and unity to this great Nation. We call on all Nigerians to join us in this task of ensuring peace and stability of our dear Nation,” he added.

It maintained that it staged another walk to the Appeal Court to state categorically that it would not allow the idea of parallel government.
