MTN Staff Allegedly Detained And Harassed By Policemen In Apapa. Photos

According to an online report, former MTN staff who were dismissed -were allegedly detained and harassed by policemen at an MTN office in Apapa, Lagos. The policemen were reportedly invited by the company's management....

A combined team of soldiers, air force officers and mobile police said to be over 1,000 have stormed the forest at Benin-Agbor road where Margaret Emefiele, the wife of Central Bank of Nigeria governor, Godwin Emefiele was taken to after she was kidnapped yesterday.

An elderly agent of the All Progressives Congress, APC, reportedly slumped and died on Wednesday, at a polling unit in Abico Market unit 10 ward eight in Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area of Edo State. The deceased identified as Mr. Solomon Omorogbe, 58, left his house to his polling unit early in the morning where he was to serve as a polling agent for the just concluded gubernatorial election.
It was further gathered that the deceased slumped shortly after casting his vote. He was rushed to Akugbe hospital by his first son, Charlie and other sympathizers, at the polling unit where he was confirmed dead by the doctor.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arraigned the duo of Ugwuanwani Louis and Enudu Kenneth before Hon. Justice Dugbo-Oghoghorie of Federal High Court sitting in Enugu on a two count charge bothering on land scam and obtaining by false pretenses.
The arraignment followed a petition received by EFCC in January 2016 where It was alleged that sometimes around February 2012, Kenneth Enudu approached and informed the petitioner of a layout in Enugu called 'Ekulu North Pocket layout' whereupon the Luis was introduced to him as the seller and after much negotiations, the sum of One Million, Five Hundred Thousand Naira (N1,500,000.00) was paid to him for three plots of land.

Samsung customers have filed legal papers against the firm after their washing machines exploded.

The legal warning adds pressure to company bosses already reeling from a global recall of its Note 7 smartphone.

Talks are being conducted between the South Korean technology giant and a US safety watchdog over the problem. Certain top-load washing machines made between March 2011 and April 2016 were affected by the defect which cause explosions.
