EFCC Busts 21 ‘Yahoo Boys’ In Abia Sting Operation

 The agency’s operatives stormed the suspected fraudsters’ hideout at World Bank Housing Estate in Umuahia, the state capital.

 

According to a report by Daily Post, 21 suspected internet fraudsters have been arrested in a sting operation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Abia.

The suspects are Onwuka John Urum, Nwigwe Favour Uzochukwu, Marvelous Igwe Chikaodiri, Egbulef Promise, Okolo Christopher, Okoye Kosiso Chukwu, Uzor Kingsley Nzube, Okafor Jeremiah Onyedikachi, Okoji Franklin Akachukwu, Emmanuel Chibuike, Okechukwu Oko, Miracle Chubueze, Sunday Eze Goodnews, Nwache Justice, Azubuike Chikwado.

The rest include Obioma Prince Chinomso, Nwazo Collins Ugochukwu, Ogugu Chukwu Ebuka, Chinaka Macdonald, Ebere Uchenna and Okechukwu Emeka Michael.

Vehicles, Lexus ES350 with reg: KWL-3398-BP; Mercedes Benz with reg: ABC-677-EH; Toyota Camry with reg: SMK-507-GZ; Lexus ES350 with reg: EKE-136-AE, were recovered.

Different brands of laptops and mobile phones were also found in their possession.

EFCC spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren said they will be charged to court after further investigations are concluded.
