Drama As Angry Woman Returns To Beat Up Her Ex-Husband's New Wife, 5 Years After Divorce In Lagos

Agoi said the first defendant and accomplice perpetrated the act, five years after she left the house following a divorce.

Two women, identified as Ruka Tayo,  and Abiola Jimoh, were on Friday arraigned before an Ikorodu Magistrates’ Court for beating up a new wife at her husband’s residence.

Ruka Tayo, 38, and Abiola Jimoh, 35, are standing trial on a two-count charge bordering on conspiracy to commit an offence and assault.

The offences contravened the provisions of Sections 412 and 172 of Criminal Law of Lagos, 2015.

The defendants pleaded not guilty to the charges, according to NAN.

The Prosecutor, ASP Gbemileke Agoi, told the court that they committed the offences on February 26 at about 4p.m at Road 7, Mowowole Estate, Oreta Igbogbo area of Ikorodu.

The duo attacked the complainant, Adeyemi Morenikeji, at her home for marrying the former husband of one of them.

Agoi said the first defendant and accomplice perpetrated the act, five years after she left the house following a divorce.

The Magistrate, R. A. Onilogbo admitted the defendants to bail in the sum of N50,000 each.

She ordered them to produce two sureties in like sum and adjourned the case until March 31.
