Commissioner and lawmaker test positive for Coronavirus in Gombe

A Gombe Commissioner and a member of the state state House of Assembly have tested positive for Coronavirus.



Gombe State Task Force committee chairman on COVID-19, Professor Idris Muhammad made the announcement during the daily press briefing of the committee. He told journalists that out of the 3,668 people tested for the virus in the state, 410 turned out positive. 

Four commissioners, five members of state House of Assembly and a Special Adviser to the governor had earlier tested positive for Coronavirus. 

Muhammad also revealed that they have embarked on mass testing as a result of the increased cases of Coronavirus in the state.
