The White House has released a photo of US President Donald Trump as he and his national security team watched Iran fire ballistic missiles at US bases in Iraq as revenge for the US killing of Iranian General Qassem Soleimani.

A photo from the Situation Room shows President Trump meeting with his security team Tuesday night and pictured around the table are White House Counsel Pat Cipollone, national security official Keith Kellogg, acting chief of staff Mick Mulvaney, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Vice President Mike Pence, Trump, Defense Secretary Mark Esper, chairman of the Joint Chief of Staff Gen. Mark Milley, Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin, National Security Advisor Robert O'Brien, White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham, and Director of National Intelligence Joseph McGuire.

The photo which the White House had refused to publish as is customary after military operations by the US, was released by CBS News' anchor Norah O'Donnell, who must have gotten the photo from Vice President Mike Pence, whom she announced she will be having an exclusive interview with.
