Obasanjo?s former adviser, Titi Ajanaku, dies at 73

Titi Ajanaku, the former Special Adviser on Women Affairs to ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo, has died. She was aged 73.


Mrs Ajanaku died in the early hours of today Thursday December 5th after a protracted battle with cancer.

Ajanaku, a founding member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was until her death the Otun Iyalode of Egbaland. A trained nurse, administrator and women leader, Ajanaku was born on January 25th 1946 at Ago-Odo Quarters in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

She attended Nawair-Ud-Deen Secondary School, Abeokuta and trained in Nursing at Stobhill General Hospital, Nether-Edge City General Hospital, Sheffield, United Kingdom between 1964 and 1965.

May her soul rest in peace, Amen.
