According to the report shared by an online user, the aquatic animal pictured here was killed in Taraba State.
The residents who saw the manatee as the easiest source of protein available were so excited. The animal was washed to the river bank by the heavy rain which the locals saw as a blessing.
People who spotted it quickly pounced on it and dissected it for easy sharing. It would be recalled that eating strange animals is fast-becoming a norm in Nigeria.
