During the early hours of Friday 16 August 2019, it was reported that the body governing football activities through out world, FIFA, banned former Nigerian player and coach Samson Siasia from all football activity for life after being found guilty of match fixing related issue.
The former Nigerian coach has come out to clear himself following a chat with a prominent Nigerian sport journalist Colin Udoh. he his quoted to have said:
“I don’t know anything about this. I did nothing wrong and I have not received any letter from FIFA.”
According to Udoh:
‘Siasia also told me -very angrily – that he was never invited to defend himself and is hearing about all of this for the first time’.
