The investigation and arrest bureau of the Central Backup Department in Tajoura, east of Tripoli, freed three Nigerien nationals after being kidnapped by two Malian nationals.

The Interior Ministry said the three abductees were kidnapped by the two Malian nationals for ransom.
It added that one of the abductees called his relatives for the ransom and his relatives contacted the investigation and arrest bureau in Tajoura for intervention.
The ministry also said that it had put to work a security plan to arrest the kidnappers and free the kidnapped, adding that one of them escaped and the other was arrested in the operation.
It also said that the arrested kidnapper and the abductees were sent to Tajoura police station for further legal procedures.
