Rivers guber election: Fayose raises alarm over presence of soldiers at collation center



Immediate past Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, has raised the alarm over heavy presence of soldiers at collation Centre in Rivers State.


Report had it that policemen and soldiers on Sunday morning clashed over who takes command of the gate of the state’s collation centre.
Reacting to report, Fayose quizzed presence of soldiers at collation center in preparation for announcement of governorship result.
The former governor further called on peace committee and international observers to curtail the situation.
On his Twitter page, he wrote: “What is happening in Rivers State should concern all Nigerians and the entire world. Where is the Gen. Abdulsalami Peace Committee? Where are the International Observers?
“Why should Soldiers take over INEC collation centres to aid changing of results?”
