PSG player, Neymar has expressed anger at his side’s loss to Manchester United due to a penalty he feels was wrongly awarded by VAR.
United went into the game on the back of a 2-0 loss at home to PSG in the first leg. However, the team sprang a surprise when they traveled to Paris for the second leg.
A brace from Lukaku and a penalty from Marcus Rashford ensured the Red Devils secured a spot in the last eight of the competition. The tie ended 3-3 on aggregates with United qualifying based on away goals.
Angered by the late penalty awarded by VAR when Diogo Dalot’s shot struck Presnel Kimpembe on the arm, Neymar said:
“This is a disgrace, they put four people that know nothing about football in charge of looking at the replay for VAR.“There is no penalty. How can it be a handball when it hits his back! Go f**k yourselves!”
