There is no report of attack on Maiduguri, the heavy explosions and sporadic gunfire in this morning are mere drills - Nigerian Army

The Nigerian Army through its Director of Army Public Relations , Col Sagir Musa has reacted to reports of heavy explosions and sporadic gunfire this morning in Maiduguri.

According to the Army, 'the gun fire was not targeted at members of the public but was for security calculations. The public are requested to massively come out to exercise their fundamental right to cast their votes for the candidates of their choices'.
