Senator Joshua Lidani of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Lidani’s defection was announced on the floor of the Senate by Senate leader, Ahmad Lawan, during plenary on Wednesday, November 28.
The former PDP lawmaker was elected on the platform of the party in 2015 and represented Gombe south senatorial district.
Lidani, however, was said to have lost his reelection bid to a serving member of the House of Representatives, Binta Bello, who won the PDP ticket to contest for the senatorial district.
