2019: Fani-Kayode Tells PDP Who To Pick As Presidential Candidate

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, Femi Fani-Kayode has told the party the person to pick as presidential candidate.

Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has made his opinion known on the kind of presidential candidate to be selected as flag bearer for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the forthcoming 2019 election.

 

He revealed this on his Twitter page on Friday. The vocal politician said PDP needs a presidential candidate that can be trusted with his words and has huge support base.

 

According to him, “The issue is not who can win the nomination; it is who can win the election.”

 

The PDP chieftain wrote: "In politics LOYALTY is EVERYTHING.  @OfficialPDPNig needs a presidential candidate that can be trusted, that can keep his word and that is a man of honor. He must also have a massive support base. The issue is not who can win the nomination: it is who can win the election.

 

Ahmed Makarfi is a steady hand that is tried and tested and a man of his word. Kabiru Turaki SAN is one of the most brilliant lawyers in Nigeria and a man of honor. They both remained loyal to @OfficialPDPNig in difficult times and are both profoundly good men. I wish them well!

 

When @GEJonathan was President he was tolerant, accomodating, forgiving, compassionate and sensitive. He refused to abuse power. He welcomed criticism from his traducers and responded to them in a civilised, restrained manner which was befitting of his office. So proud of him!"
