BREAKING: Fulani Herdsmen On The Run, Two Missing, As Hundreds Of Tiv Militia Wreck Major Havoc, Kill 73 Cows, Others Injured

Hundreds of gunmen alleged to be Tiv Militia, attacked Kadarko community, in Keana Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, leading to the missing of two Fulani people, and the killing of 73 cows.

The Nasarawa State Chairman of Miyatti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, MACBAN, Muhammed Hussaini, revealed that the gunmen stormed Kadarko, a border village between Benue and Nasarawa States, armed to the teeth and shooting sporadically, killing the 73 cows, injuring many other cows, and rustling over 200 others and returning to Benue State.
Hussaini said that MACBAN had called on all the affected herders to remain calm, as government and security operatives were working to ensure that the perpetrators faced the full wrath of the law.
In a response, the Nasarawa State Police Public Relations Officer, DPS Idrisu Kennedy, stated that some gunmen had attacked Kadarko, and opened fire on Fulani herders, killing 73 cows.
He pointed out that there was no loss of human life in the attack, and that of six people who got missing, four were seen, but two other Fulani herders were still missing.
Kennedy disclosed that the State Commissioner of Police, CP, Bello Ahmed, personally visited the area.
“As I am talking to you, we are still on our way from the place where the incident happened”, he said.
Some aggrieved Fulani youths evacuated scores of the dead cows and brought them to the Emir of Lafia’s Palace for the Monarch to see the handiwork of the Militia.
