Two Notorious Armed Robbers Killed During Exchange of Gun Fire In Lagos

It is the end of the road for two deadly armed robbers who were gunned down during a bloody exchange of gunfire with security operatives.

Two notorious armed robbers have been shot dead by the night security men led by the Deputy State Commander of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria, VGN, Mr Ayede Santos in a gun battle in Lagos. 
 
The bloody incident happened early today at about 3am around the Cele area of Isasi in Ojo Local Government. The identity of the robbers is not yet known but the residents said they were not living in the area.
 
According to PM Express, it was gathered that the robbers stormed the area to rob residents in the night and shot sporadically to intimidate the residents. Unknown to the men of the under world that the residents had vigilante in the area. It was gathered that there was an exchange of gun fire between the robbers and the vigilante who were on duty.
 
Two of the robbers were shot dead while others escaped with their arms. Their lifeless bodies were recovered and handed over to the police to deposit at the mortuary for autopsy report.
 
When contacted, the Area Commander, ACP Hope Okafor for comments, but she was said to have gone to Badagry for the visit of the Lagos Commissioner of Police to her Command for stakeholders meeting in the area. However, police sources confirmed the incident and said that the police have already commenced investigation to arrest the other suspects that escaped.
