Alleged Defamation: Nigerians React Bitterly to the Incarceration of Kemi Olunloyo

The continued detention of a daughter of a former Oyo State governor and blogger, Kemi Omololu Olunloyo in Port Harcourt prison over the publishing of a malicious report about a Nigerian cleric has become a subject of discussion on social media.

Nigerians on social media have expressed mixed reactions about the lengthy time of Kemi Omololu Olunloyo behind bars over a case of defamation of character against a South-south cleric, Pastor David Ibiyeomie.

The Salvation Ministries pastor based in Port Harcourt reportedly ordered the arrest of Kemi Omololu Olunloyo who accused him of adultery and embezzlement of church funds.

Madam KOO as she is fondly called has been behind bars for about two weeks with all bail appeals rejected by court despite the fact that her crimes bother on civil offences and not criminal ones thereby not warranting incarceration.

Since pictures of an emaciated Madam KOO being paraded in a green prison gown in Port Harcourt emerged, Nigerians have become sympathetic to her fate.

A few Nigerians probably offended by her controversial antics on social media regarded as cyber-bullying have remained indifferent about her plight.

Madam KOO is a notorious investigative journalist who has in the past attacked prominent Nigerians viciously through her blog, HNNAFRICA and other social media pages.

Appeals are currently being made to Pastor Ibiyeomie to practice the tenets of the Holy Bible and pardoning Madam KOO like he did to her accomplice, Samuel Walson.
