Benue Commissioner Arrested For Murder Of Chairmanship Aspirant.

Commissioner for Art culture and tourism in the Samuel Ortom administration Mr Sekav Iortyom has been arrested by the Nigeria police in connection with the murder of one Mr Tersoo Tondo a chairmanship aspirant in Buruku.

Read via Scannews;

Mr Tondo who was a lecturer with the university of Mkar was murdered in cold blood in Gboko some weeks ago, Mr Tondo some days before his murder won the award for best lecturer in the university.

Problem started when Mr commissioner choose one chairmanship aspirant from the five apc aspirants without proper consultation with the other aspirants and other relevant stakeholders and subsequent refusal by the other aspirants to accept the choice of the commissioner.

Information has it that Mr Tondo was the candidate of Mrs Roda Akor who is a very close confidant of the distinguished senator representing Zone B and Mr commissioner was afraid that if the said Tondo is not done away with Mrs Akor will use her connection with the senator to plant him as the chairman.

Efforts to reach Mr commissioner before his arrest yesterday proved abortive because he has changed his two mobile lines.

The anointed candidate Mr David Yimam who is an accountant at Benue links was released on bail to the commissioner for works housing and transport Engineer manger and professor Sorkaa on the ground that they will provided Mr Iortyom.

Information has it that the governor of Benue state Hon Samuel Ortom want the commissioner to face the music but the leader of the Party in the state senator George Akume is oppose to that and he is making frantic efforts to quench the matter.

It can be recalled that in this same administration a serving adviser is also accused of the murder of another government functionary but I am not surprise because when a garage tout leads killings and other crimes become the order of the day.
